My bit on the 2011 Grammys, breakfast included.

15 Feb

Ya ok, I know I’m a day late but here’s my bit on the Grammys.

Let’s just get it out the way – what was Lady Gaga doing arriving in an egg? Really!? Everyone had the same shock horror response, but here’s what I will say, EVERYONE was talking about. It was a top trend on twitter, splashed all over the interweb like a bad rash, being discussed on Facebook etc. Yes – you get the picture. I like Lady Gaga and I like her music. She most certainly does not conform  to the norm and one thing she knows how to do, is create hype and buzz around herself, even if it might be weird, publicity is publicity peaches. It’s getting a little old though. The crazy outfits, the best being the meat one. Meat, eggs – what next? Dare we even guess. Yusses. She needs to inject some originality onto her already original reputation. Good luck with that.

STILL cringe when I look at this – eeeuuuwww!

Next up, the winners. And here they are:

I love Lady Antebellum so well done to them. Another firm fav is Muse. Nicely done.

Lastly best and worst dressed.

MY BESTEST

1. Heidi Klum in Julien Macdonald

Effortlessly flawless

2. Selena Gomez in J. Mendel

3. Florence Welch in Givenchy

4. Nicole Kidman in Jean Paul Gaultier

5. Eva Longoria in Ashi

Tony Parker you muppet!

I’d also like to throw in Selma Blair. She’s pregnant and looks absolutely stunning. Natalie Portman should take a page out of her book.

TERRIBLE

1. Nicki Minaj in Givenchy

I have no words.

2. Lady Gaga in her egg

Have you EVER!? I’ll have them scrambled please.

3. Gram’ma Funk in who cares

Funk Naaasty Gram’ma

4. Rihanna in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture (sorry Scottish lass).

Father Christmas called, he wants his helper back

5. Katy Perry

Not too bad, but loose the wings angel pie.

On the guy’s side (and I can’t be bothered to look at what all the men were wearing so there’s one for my best and worst).

BEST

Adam Lambert, and it’s no secret I’m such fan. Eyeliner, make up, rock chic I love it all.

WORST

Justin Bieber – wtf!? Surely you make enough money to at least tailor your suit. It’s all just so wrong. And Selena looked so hot, shame on you Bieber.

I love an opinion, and that’s mine on the 53rd Grammy Awards – take it and go! Next up the Oscars, can’t wait!

Please don’t mock Badass Bieber for not finding the time get his suit tailored, he’s a mature young man going through complex adult emotions, I quote: “And I was like
        Baby, baby, baby ohhh
        Like baby, baby, baby noo
        Like baby, baby, baby ohh
I thought youd always be mine mine”

Someone under this kind of emotional stress has difficulty getting up in the morning, let alone attend the Grammy’s.

(I truly believe that the little feck is an alien sent to Earth to seek, brainwash and destroy the minds of our youth)
